Crystal Cell #4 and #5

The magnesium rods arrived and I wasted no time in building some new crystal cells with magnesium in place of the aluminum I used in the first 3 cells.

April 7, 2015.  I used the same formula for the “Magic Powder”.  Equal parts of Epsom Salt, Alum, Potassium Chloride and Borax.

I used the compression method to compact the magic powder between the copper pipe and magnesium rod in the center.  As soon as I was done, I measured the output of crystal cell #4 and the reading was 1.492 volts as soon as I had finished pounding the powder in.

I detected no heat from the crystal cell but the magic powder seemed to be boiling.  It sort of bubbled out from the top where the powder was seeping from between the PVC pipe washer I had made and pounded in to somewhat seal the powder in.

the voltage started to drop immediately after construction of the cell and within a few minutes, the output was pretty stable at about 1.36 volts.

On April 8, 2015, I made crystal cell #5.

I used the torch method to make this crystal cell and the output voltage immediately after construction was 1.376 volts.  after a few hours it had stabilized at about 1.25 volts.
